Good beginner gun. I would go with a tippmann and continually upgrade it and just make it look wicked think that would really impress them unless they already have one themselves.http://www.ozarksportsworld.com/
Do not buy a tippman first of all, I guarantee you the kid that typed that takes the short bus to school and smashes his helmet against the wall when he has to share his crayon.
You can impress your friends by kicking their posteriors in the game. Get a simple semi auto (Like the MR1) and look up tactics and gameplay strategies. Have some balls while your playing. Move around a lot and keep them guessing, playing aggressively is the key to winning and you’ll make them carp their pants when they see your confidence in the way you play.
I;ve never tried the MR-1 but I am the king of Spyders. They are incredibly easy to maintain and clean but I will tell you that the MR1 is made for scenario play and realism. When the marker style starts drifting towards that aspect, the parts are a bit more complicated and difficult to get to. For instance If I chop a ball in an MR1, I’d need a few more tools and I’ve have to remove twice as many parts to get to the problem area and clean it out properly whereas if I chop a ball in an X-Tra of a shutter, I remove one pin by hand, pull out the internals in one motion, sgueegee the receiver, put everything back and I’m done.
So keep in mind the work you need to put in to the gun weighted against the benefit of cool looks. No scenario gun outdoes a regular gun by much, its mostly looks.
AND NO it doesn’t hurt more, jakasss
it depends on what type of play you and your friends like.I would suggest savin up about 60 more dollars and getting an 08 proto slg.”tournament” guns are great in the woods. The are built to be faster, lighter, and quieter. If you are set on a “woodsball” gun ,i would say the mr1 is probabley pretty good.I dont have experience with this exact model, but ive had around 6 spyders in the past.As for its hurt factor, most guns hurt the same.Paintball guns should NEVER be turned over 300 fps.Any higher and you risk severe injuries, broken masks, and you might just loose your friends 0.o .I have played with it around 450 and it cracked my friends mask.so again i repeat NEVER turn it up that high.Well i hope this helps
all paintball markers hurt the same unless u crank it up to like 400…
and i would chose a tippman b4 spider
